Midjourney is a visual creation platform where written prompts can become images and, in supported workflows, moving visuals. A prompt is a creative brief: the clearer the subject, setting, composition, and mood, the easier it is to judge the result.
Build a prompt in layers
Describe the main subject first, then add the setting, composition, lighting, palette, and intended use. Make one or two changes at a time when refining a result so you can tell which instruction helped. If you use a reference image, be explicit about what should carry over—such as color or composition—and what should change.
From exploration to production
Generate a small set of directions, select the strongest one, and refine it for the real project. Check hands, text, logos, and other details that image models often render inconsistently. A generated concept may need substantial editing before it is suitable for a campaign, product, or publication.
Rights and responsible use
Do not assume that a generated image is automatically cleared for every commercial purpose. Review the platform’s current terms, privacy options, and rules for references or recognizable people.
